Warsaw advances to boys soccer semi-state; St. Joe, Marian in girls soccer

Nathan Kolbe scored less than 10 minutes into the game and Warsaw held on the rest of the way, defeating Penn in the 2A boys soccer Regional Finals Saturday night at Baker Park in Mishawaka.

The Tigers now advance to the 2A Semi-State to face Carroll of Fort Wayne next Saturday at Noon. Warsaw will have a nice advantage in the game as the game will be played on their home field.

Argos advanes to the 1A Semi-State in boys soccer with a 6-1 win over West Lafayette. Argos will face Bethany Christian at 10am next Saturday at LaVille.

In the 2A girls soccer regional, defending state champion South Bend St. Joe overcame a 1-0 deficit to beat Penn 4-1 at Jackson Field.

The Indians advance to the 2A Semi-State Fort Wayne Snider where they will face Crown Point next Saturday at noon.

In the 1A girls soccer regional, Marian advances to Semi-State with a 2-0 win over Westview. Marian will play in the Noon game at Argos next Saturday.
