St. Joe High School holds pep rally for football team heading to state finals

For the second year in a row the St. Joseph's High School Indians are spending the holiday weekend in Indianapolis, playing for a state championship.

Wednesday afternoon, the whole school turned out to pump the Indians up before they head south to Lucas Oil Stadium.

Our own Terry McFadden had the pleasure of emceeing the pep rally at his alma mater. Mayor-Elect Pete Buttigieg, another alum of the high school, also helped with the send-off.

The Indians will be playing a familiar foe; it's the third time in five years St. Joe has faced Chatard in the championship, and they hope this is the year they make it happen.

The 3A State Finals are set for Noon on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
