South Bend St. Joe has a state swimming champion. Trevor Carroll captured gold in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:37.30 Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis.
It is the first boys swimming state championship in St. Joe history.
Northridge, meanwhile, also captured individual state gold. Junior Austin Flager won the 100 backstroke with a time of 49.84 seconds.
As a team, Northridge finished 3rd.
Carmel won the state title for the 14th time and 3rd in a row. Bloomington South finished 2nd.
