St. Joe girls basketball standout Michelle Weaver has committed to play basketball at Butler.

With her senior season still ahead of her Weaver was excited to get such a big decision out of the way early.

"It was really stressful just thinking about where you want to go college and always having to worry about it," Weaver said. "Now that it is done you can just go out and play and be stress free from all of the college stuff that you are worrying about."

When it came down to it the decision was an easy one for Michelle to make.

"One of the coaches there is my previous AAU coach and he is honestly one of my favorite coaches. After I found out he coached there I was really interested and then his daughter also is going there and I love playing with her so that made me want to go there even more."

For many athletes high school is the end of the road in terms of playing competitively and Weaver knows how lucky she is to be playing division one basketball.

"My dream has always been to play college basketball and then just going to Butler means a lot. Its going to be really fun."
