Congratulations to Washington High School, winners of week nine's 16 Spirit Award. The Panthers received a whopping 60 percent of the vote.

The Panthers played in a thriller last Friday night that unfortuantely for Washington fans saw Mishawaka erase a 12 point 4th quarter deficit to beat Washington and win the Northern Indiana Conference outright.

But despite the loss, there's still plenty of pride on the west side. Washington receives a plaque and check for 100 hundred dollars from Pizza Hut for showing the most school spirit on Friday Night Football.

The Panthers open up sectionals with a very tough challenge as they will travel to the Rock Pile Friday night at 7pm to face Plymouth in the 4A opener.
