One week away from National Signing Day, South Bend Adams senior Shaq Vann has decided where he will play college football.
Vann will remain an 'Eagle' for life going from the Adams Eagles to the Eastern Michigan Eagles, giving his verbal commitment to new Eastern Michigan coach Chris Creighton on Tuesday.
Creighton was just hired from Drake and Vann visited Eastern Michigan over the weekend and loved it.
"Eastern was just a different atmosphere," Vann said Tuesday compared to other places he's visited. "The coaches care about you and so much on a different level. It was just an experience you can't pass up. They have a new coach who has been there for five weeks and making a great impact."
Vann chose Eastern Michigan over the likes of Toledo, Miami (OH) and Central Michigan.
Vann was a standout running back and linebacker at Adams, helping a once struggling Eagles program return to one of the area's best over the last few years.
