South Bend St. Joe played its first varsity boys basketball game at its new Alumni Gym Tuesday night, but it won't have the happy memory Indians' fans would have liked.
Mack Mercer scored 19 points to lead Plymouth to a 57-45 win over the Indians, spoiling the debut game at the new St. Joe High.
The game was the season opener for the Indians (0-1) while Plymouth improves to 4-0.
