Sectional championships are on the line Friday night in Indiana.
A huge matchup will take place at Andrews Field as NorthWood hosts Concord for the 4A title.
The two teams met back in Week Three with Concord surviving, thanks to a Panther fumble in the final minute.
That is providing motivation for the Panthers.
Coach Scott Hoover says, “We had a close game. We fumbled the ball on the 12 yard line, and if we would’ve held on to it, we would’ve had a chance to kick at field goal to win it, so we know we’re right there. We just need to play well and give ourselves a chance.”
Senior Coy Brown adds, “Honestly, I don’t think we need to do anything different. First game, we played excellent. We came out ready to go from the start, and we proved it. It was just one mistake in the game that cost us, so I think we’re fine.”
There are quite a few rematch games for sectional titles on Friday night. Also in 4A, Washington will host Mishawaka.
In 3A, Marian battles St. Joe in the Holy War, Part Two. That game is 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Clay Field.
