A man named Andrews will return home to coach on the football field that bears his father's name.
Pending school board approval, NorthWood will name 1996 Panthers graduate Nate Andrews as its next football coach Monday night at 7:30pm.
Andrews is the son of the late Jim Andrews, who was a Hall of Fame coach at NorthWood for 20 years before he died tragically in a car accident in 1992. NorthWood's football field is now named Jim Andrews Field.
Nate Andrews replaces Scott Hoover, who stepped down as the NorthWood coach after five seasons.
Nate returns home after coaching the last two years at Western, where he was 15-8. Prior to that, he coached at Lapel. In 7 seven overall seasons as a varsity football coach, Nate Andrew holds a 40-39 record.
