They've got new uniforms and will soon have their own stadium to call home, but the St. Joe football team enters 2012 with the same goals it always has.
"We don't set, you know, too too many goals that are down the road," explained head coach Ben Downey. "You know, every single team in Indiana has the same ultimate goal and that's to win state. So we really don't like talking about that too much, we pretty much focus on the process, the little things that it takes to just become a better team day by day."
Downey has led the Indians to the state finals in each of his first two seasons as head coach. St. Joe has lost both matchups.
the Indians will continue to practice at the old St. Joe High School for now. They won't play their first game at their new stadium until the 4th week of the season when they Host Elkhart Central on September 7th.
