Three area teams are left standing in the Indiana HS Football playoffs.
Two of them will face each other Friday night with a spot in the 4A State Championship on the line.
Concord will host Mishawaka at 7pm at Jake Field in our Martin's Spotlight Game of the Week in the 4A Semi-State.
Both teams have a ton of momentum entering the game. Mishawaka started the year at 2-3 and have now won eight straight games. Concord, meanwhile, lost two straight games to close out September including a 48-0 defeat to Jimtown. After those two losses, the Minutemen made Trevor Willmore the full-time quarterback. Concord hasn't lost since.
Concord coach Tim Dawson is a Mishawaka grad. He joked this week that while he's always pulling for the Cavemen he won't this week. And while he's a Mishawaka grad, he's lived on Dunlap a lot longer--and bleeds green if you cut him.
In 3A, Marian travels to just north of Indy to face Hamilton Heights. The Knights won three state titles in the 1970s but haven't made it to the state title game since. This would be the program's first appearance for in 19 seasons under head coach Reggie Glon.
