Just 5.8 miles separates Lakeshore High School and St. Joseph High School in Southwest Michigan.

There's always a ton on the line when the two arch rivals battle in the War by the Shore. This year is no exception. Both enter Friday night's Pizza Hut Spotlight Game of the Week with a 5-1 record, looking to stay in the hunt for a conference championship and earn home field advantage for the playoffs.

Denny Dock knows all about the rivalry game. He's been the head coach at Lakeshore, forever. The new kid on the block is at St. Joe. Longtime assistant Gandalf Church takes over the Bears program and didn't lose a game until last week. Of course, he knows the intensity is at its peak this week because its Lakeshore week.

Kickoff is set for 7pm at Dickinson Stadium at St. Joseph High School.
