Marian junior Demetrius Jackson scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists in just 13 minutes to lead his 'white' team to a 132-131 in the first ever Michiana McDonald's All-Star Game at Bethel College Monday night.
The event, organized by Bethel men's basketball coach Mike Lightfoot was a tremendous success, bringing in more than 1,800 fans on very short notice.
"We couldn't be happier with the they way this event turned out, " stated Lightfoot. "We only began planning it three weeks ago and didn't know how successful it would be. Seeing the great turn out and support for these young men is a tribute to their hard work all season and shows how much this community rallies around these young men."
