Clay Yeo wasn't going to let this be his final game.
The Triton senior scored 16 points as the Trojans beat Lafayette Central Catholic 40-32 in the 1A Semi-State Saturday afternoon in Lafayette.
Triton now advances to the 1A State Championship game next Saturday at 1030am against Borden at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
It marks the 4th time in six years the Trojans have made it to the State Finals, which they last won in 2008. This year's seniors made it as sophomores but lost. Now Yeo and company want to end their careers by winning it all.
Fellow senior Seth Gingle had a putback bucket at the buzzer to end the 1st quarter as Triton led 9-6 after one period and then 20-17 at halftime.
Yeo, who will play at Valpo next season, did his damage in the 3rd quarter including a monster dunk that put Triton up 26-19. The Trojans led 30-21 heading to the 4th and held off Central Catholic the rest of the way.
