Friday Night Football: SB Washington wants more than just sectional title

Last Friday, the Washington Panthers captured the program's first football sectional title since 1977 by defeating Mishawaka.

"It's special to be a part of history but sectionals--it seems so small when you got such big things in mind," star running back David Perkins said this week.

Perkins and the Panthers dream the big dream. They want to win it all. They know it stars Friday night in regionals.

"That's a step we have to take care of to get to the ultimate team goal and that's the state championship," Perkins said. "We all want to get down to Indy. To do so we need to get passed the regional round."

The task won't be easy. Washington must go on the road to the region to battle Hammond Morton. Morton is 11-1 this season.
