Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer announced Thursday that linebacker David Perkins was going to transfer from the school.
As it turns out, the former South Bend Washington standout has bigger issues to deal with.
According to the Toledo Blade, Perkins allegedly broke into a car while visiting Bowling Green, Ohio. Perkins was then found by police bloodied and apparently drunk attempting to enter a female stranger's home at 2:45 a.m. last Saturday, according to an incident report. He was charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, criminal damaging, and underage drinking.
Bowling Green was among the potential schools Perkins was interested in transferring to. The Blade says the Falcons are no longer recruiting Perkins.
Perkins helped SB Washington reached the 4A State Finals in 2011. He originally committed to play football at Notre Dame before switching to Ohio State.
