Complete results from the girls track regionals at Warsaw

South Bend Riley's Ayinna Gaines set a Regional record in the 400, Clay's Michelle Adeniyi won three championships and Mishawaka's Anna Rohrer cruised in the 2-mile to highlight the events at the Girls Track Regionals Tuesday at Warsaw.

The host Tigers overcame a number of injuries to hold off Mishawaka to win the team competition by three points.

Gaines, a junior at Riley, repeated as the Regional champion in the 400 but certainly upped her speed from a year ago winning the race in a time of 56.5 seconds. That's a new regional record, beating the previous one of 57.05 seconds set by Clay's Elese Daniel in 2009.

Adeniyi, a senior at Clay, won the sectional title in the 100m, 200m and high jump a week ago and won all three events again Tuesday night.

Rohrer, a sophomore at Mishawaka, won the 3200 meter run by 13 seconds of Clay senior Amanda Farrough. Farrough meanwhile took home first place in the 1600 meter run.
