Bremen football returned to glory in 2011 with a fantastic run to the 2A Semi-State. But the Lions came up one game short of their ultimate goal of playing at Lucas Oil Stadium for the state championship.
The state championship won't be on the line this time, but Bremen will get a chance to play at Lucas Oil Stadium after all. The Lions will face Tippy Valley at 2:30pm on August 25th as part of the Horseshoe Classic.
“Our entire football program is truly honored to represent Bremen High School and the community at this prestigious event," said Bremen Athletic Director Troy Holmes in a press release. "The Indianapolis Colts have once again displayed their generous sponsorship of high school football in Indiana. This is a great opportunity for the students of Bremen High School and a memory they will never forget.”
Bremen was 13-1 a season ago, suffering their only loss to Bishop Luers in Semi-State. Tippy Valley was 6-4 a season ago.
