Warsaw native Plumlee drafted by Pacers

Updated: Mon 3:33 PM, Aug 13, 2012

Warsaw native Miles Plumlee will finally play in Indiana.

The Duke star who transferred from Warsaw to play high school basketball at a private school in the North Carolina was drafted with the 26th overall pick by the Indiana Pacers.

Miles was a junior at Warsaw High School when he and his younger brother Mason (who also played at Duke) left Warsaw due to a lack of playing time.

Their departure caused great controversy in the basketball rich town of Warsaw and head basketball coach Doug Ogle almost lost his job as a result. Of course, Ogle was retained and led the Tigers to the 4A state title game two years ago.

Miles helped lead Duke to the national championship as a sophomore in 2010.
