B.J. Knauf, who scored a go ahead touchdown against Notre Dame earlier this season, and fellow Purdue wide receiver Jordan Woods were arrested Monday night for shoplifting at Kohl's, according to the Lafayette Journal and Courier.
According to the paper, police were called to Kohl's at Tippecanoe Mall around 5:30pm Monday. That's where they say they learned the two Purdue wideouts allegedly attempted to steal two tie bars, valued at $20 each.
"Purdue head football coach Darrell Hazell is aware of today's incident involving BJ Knauf and Jordan Woods," Purdue Associate Athletic Director Tom Schott said in a statement to WNDU. "Hazell takes such matters seriously and respects that there is an ongoing legal process that he will allow to evolve before determining any possible internal disciplinary action.”
Knauf and Woods posted and bond and were released from Tippecanoe County Jail, according to the Journal and Courier.
