Tuitt positive about Irish defense heading into the season

Pre-season All-American Stephon Tuitt says he is pleased with improvements the Notre Dame defense has made so far in camp.

Last year the Irish defensive was one of the best in the nation and led by Tuitt and nose guard Louis Nix, so believe it can be just as good in 2013--if not better.

But Tuitt isn't concerning himself with any of that right now.

“Our defense right now, as we go on this field, is a hardworking defense," Tuitt said. "We go out there every day with the mindset of getting better -- all eleven players and the backups... Our defense right now is a work in progress. We just take it a day at a time, we don’t look at the past because the past is the past. We working hard right now being better on our defense approach going into practice for this upcoming season.”
