Penn grad Braxston Cave had a big smile on his face this weekend as he returned to action for Notre Dame.
Cave missed the end of last season due to a foot injury that required surgery. Now he says he's 100% again after rehab.
"I feel great," Cave said.
Of course, he's not in prime form.
"Just knocking off the rust," Cave said. "I haven't done anything live in 8 months. Just shaking off the rust and being able to do Coach Heistand's techniques at full strength against the defense--it's just an adjustment."
Cave is returning for his 5th season at Notre Dame. The Irish center is considered one of the best in the country at his position and has a promising NFL future.
But as a longtime Notre Dame fan, he has unfinished business with the Irish first.
