This Friday night the Penn Kingsmen look to return to Semi State for the second time in three years as they travel to Lake Central. Penn enters the game undefeated after knocking off Chesterton 30-0 last week.

Completing a regular season undefeated is obviously no easy task. Each week the target on a teams back grows bigger and bigger with each opponent trying to stop the winning streak. Having already completed the challenge of an undefeated season the Kingsmen feel as if they are prepared for the big games to come.

"I think the big game atmosphere helps you," head coach Cory Yeoman said. "The more big games you play in during the course of the regular season I think that only gets you tougher physically and mentally for situations like this."

When talking with the players you get the sense that they are also aware of what the regular season has prepared them for.

"It helps us with the toughness and tenacity that a playoff team is going to bring," senior defensive tackle Clayton Stohler added. "I mean we have treated every team the same. Any cliche I could think of I could say right now but, its playoff football, its higher intensity and we are trained for that throughout the entire season."

It is comments like those that have Coach Yeoman singing the praises of his senior class.

"[The seniors] have done a fabulous job," Yeoman said. "They are mentally tough, they are physically tough, and they keep their composure extremely well no matter what takes place. I couldn't be happier or prouder of our senior class."

Kickoff at Lake Central is set for 7:30 p.m. this Friday.
