Notre Dame (7-2) moved up two spots to 23rd in the latest BCS Standings.
Notre Dame needs to be in the Top 14 of the BCS Standings by the end of the regular season to be eligible for one of the five BCS Bowls.
The Irish are ranked 25th in both the Coaches and Harris Polls, that count for 2/3 of the BCS Formula. The 1/3 aspect is computer rankings. The Irish are ranked 15th there.
Notre Dame has now won four straight games to sit at 7-2 on the season. With three games remaining, they will need to win out at Pittsburgh (4-4), at home against BYU (6-2) and on the road at Stanford (7-1)
The Cardinal are 5th in both major polls.
Oklahoma (which is the last team to beat Notre Dame) is now 10th. The other team to beat the Irish is Michigan. The Wolverines dropped out of the top 25 after their 2nd loss in four weeks Saturday against Michigan State.
The Spartans are now ranked 17th in the BCS. Michigan State's only loss this season is to Notre Dame.
