Rees fires up Irish faithful at pep rally

South Bend, Ind. The threat of bad weather may have moved Notre Dame's Pep Rally indoors Friday night. But, despite the change in venue, there was no shortage of enthusiasm from the Irish loyal.

Head Coach Brian Kelly and his team took center court at Purcell Pavilion, proudly singing the alma mater.

Hundreds of Notre Dame fans packed into the arena, getting pumped up for Saturday's match-up against Michigan State.

After two straight games on the road the boys in blue and gold are excited to return to their home turf.

“Talking about family, you know we have been away from ours for two weeks now, and we have heard all this talk about, you know, playing in these awesome environments of the Big Ten and all these stadiums,” says ND Quarterback Tommy Rees. “In my opinion, that's a bunch of bull. I think the best environment for us to play in is in front of 80,000 members of our family, and that's you guys.”

A victory over the Spartans Saturday would be the 10th win in a row at home for the Irish.
