A group claiming to be Michigan students sent a picture to various Michigan media outlets that shows they placed a Michigan banner with the words "Beat the Irish" at the Notre Dame Stadium tunnel.

The group claims they put the banner there on early Wednesday morning after making the drive from Ann Arbor to South Bend.

Michigan Daily, the student newspaper at Michigan, traced the email address to coming from the University servers.

Notre Dame quickly removed the banner, an official told the Big Ten Network.

Notre Dame and Michigan battle Saturday night at 7:30 at Notre Dame Stadium.
