ND Football: Farley expects to continue to grow this season

After losing one of their biggest defensive leaders to the NFL the Fighting Irish will be looking for new players to step up and fill that void. One of those players will be junior safety Matthias Farley.

Farley came up big for the Irish secondary after injuries senior Jamoris Slaughter tore his Achilles tendon against Michigan State. Farley would go on to recored 49 tackles and come up with two huge plays in the game against Stanford. One of them being an interception which he returned 49 yards and the other being a huge tackle for a loss on third down to force a field goal in the fourth quarter.

He admits that this season will feel a little bit different with added pressure from expectations but said "You still have to produce and you still have to play well. I know a lot more than I knew last year and that process is going to continue as I get a little older and a little more experience."
