Lakeshore's Dock shooting for 250th career win vs rival St. Joe

Undefeated Lakeshore plays host to arch rival St. Joe Friday night in the War by the Shore.

The Lancers (6-0) know their perfect season will be reduced to virtually nothing if they lose this game. The talk of the town would turn to the 3-3 Bears.

It's our Martin's Spotlight Game of the Week.

In his 25th season at Lakeshore, Denny Dock is in search of a pretty big milestone Friday night. He's going after his 250th career win. How fitting that would be to come against St. Joe.

Dock jokes that it seems to work out that way that he's in this position. His 100th career win came against Dowagiac at a time when Dowagiac was Lakeshore's top rival.

St. Joe has a ton to play for too. With three games left, the Bears must win out to guarantee themselves a playoff spot. The Bears "could" make the post-season with two wins in their final three games but they'd leave nothing for chance with three straight wins.

Bears coach Gandalf Church says his team is operating in playoff mode starting now. He's looking at Friday night as a win at all costs playoff game.

All scenarios make this quite the War by the Shore.

Kickoff Friday is set for 7pm at Al Stockman Stadium in Stevensville.
