The Purcell Pavilion was alive Saturday afternoon as the Notre Dame men’s basketball team played a matinee game against St. Francis.
Mike Brey had Scott Martin on the bench with a sore knee, but Cameron Biedscheid helped pick up the slack with four three-pointers and 13 points.
Jack Cooley was his usual efficient self with a double-double, scoring 13 points and picking up 13 rebounds.
Umar Simmons kept St. Francis in it with 14 points, but Notre Dame was never really threatened.
Eric Atkins hit the 13-point mark with six assists and Jeran Grant had 11 points and nine rebounds as the Irish cruised past St. Francis, 69-52.
