Irish loose, excited as they depart for New Orleans for Final Four

The Irish women's basketball has a different vibe heading to its 3rd straight Final Four.

Notre Dame is the favorite to win it all--and that doesn't appear to be making the Irish tense. If anything, Muffet's Squad appears to be as loose as they have been in three trips to the Final Four.

Senior Skylar Diggins is setting the tone. Knowing this is her last go around, she says she's enjoying every second of the journey to New Orleans. In a way, she doesn't want to think about her career being over but win or lose Sunday in the National Semifinals against UConn, Diggins will see her career come to an end no later in Tuesday.

With losses in the NCAA Finals each of the last two years, the Irish would like nothing more than to get over the hump and win the program's 2nd ever national title.

But more than anything--they just want to get there already. The team left for New Orleans Thursday afternoon.
