Penn and South Bend Clay each produced three individual regional championship in high school wrestling Saturday at Rochester.
For the Kingsmen, Zach Davis (103 lbs), Alex Gregory (135 lbs), and Dan Ginter (140 lbs) won regional titles. Female standout Sarah Hildebrandt is also moving on to Semi-State with a 4th place finish at 112 pounds.
For the Colonials, Laquan Lunford (145 lbs), Davon Alwine (160 lbs), and Joe Gallegos (215 lbs) won regional championships.
Mishawaka produced two regional champions, including Layton Binion (125 lbs) and Taylor Wisler (130 lbs).
Other champions include: Warsaw's Jarred Brooks (112 lbs), Rochester's Garth Simpson (119 lbs), Tippy Valley's Isaac Yoder (152 lbs), Riley's Nate Coddens (171 lbs), Culver Community's Matt Hurford (189 lbs), and Culver Community's Jeremiah Harvy (heavyweight).
At Goshen, Jimtown and Fairfield each came away with two regional champions.
For Jimtown, Nick Crume (125 lbs) and Eric Forrest (heavyweight) took home first place.
Dillon Hinen (135 lbs) and Alex Hosetler (171 lbs) took the gold for Fairfield.
Other regional champions included: Central's Abraham Que (112 lbs), Memorial's Cam Matteson (145 lbs), Concord's Tyler Rimmel (160 lbs), and Goshen's Brandon Dillenbeck (189 lbs).
