Fans of Skylar Diggins packed three buses on Sunday to support their favorite Notre Dame grad.
The buses full of basketball fans left Washington High School headed for Chicago to see Diggins play with the Tulsa Shock.
This was the first chance fans had to see Diggins in a WNBA game as it was her first game close to home.
Three local entrepreneurs organized the trip, and classmates and fans were eager to see her play.
“It just brings older people, younger people, people that (have) seen her grow up as a kid, people that went to school with her, some of her teachers are here,” said Atlantis Walker. “We all just came together and I think that it’s just a beautiful sight for our city."
Diggins scored eight points and dished out three assists, but the Shock lost 92-71 to the Chicago Sky.
