WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.--- Danny Etling passed for two touchdowns and ran for another Saturday, helping Purdue snap a 12-game losing streak against FBS competition with a 43-34 victory against Western Michigan.

Two Jarvion Franklin touchdown runs gave the visiting Broncos a 14-10 second-quarter lead, but the Boilermakers -1-11 in 2013 - scored the first half's final 13 points and never trailed again, although Western Michigan pulled to within 37-34 with 8:11 remaining.

Purdue had not beaten an FBS opponent since defeating Indiana on Nov. 24, 2012.

Etling threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Justin Sinz and an 8-yarder to Gabe Holmes.

Purdue got field goals of 35, 51 and 44 yards from Paul Griggs. The 51-yarder is a career long and ties the sixth-longest in school history.

The Boilermakers also got a 56-yard interception return and 27- and 36-yard punt returns from safety Frankie Williams to set up 17 points.
