Corrigan to play lacrosse for dad at ND; St. Joe sending five to D-1

St. Joe lacrosse standout Will Corrigan didn't have trouble making up stories of how he convinced the Notre Dame lacrosse coach to bring him on board with the Irish.

"It was tough," Corrigan says with a straight face. "I had to clean up my room a lot, be nice to him and pay for my own gas."

Kevin Corrigan, the Irish lacrosse coach, is Will's dad.

The two say its pretty darn cool that they will share a sideline together next year.

Corrigan was one of five St. Joe Indians recognized on Monday at the Little Theater for signing with Division One programs.

The others include Kyle Zappia to Dayton for baseball, Melissa Macellari to Southeast Missouri State for volleyball and soccer players Sarah Hall (Western Illinois) and Alli Connelly (West Virginia).

Connelly says her senior year has been a dream come true from winning a state championship to signing a national letter of intent to play at the division one level.
