Notre Dame’s Jack Cooley was named the Most Improved Player in the Big East for the past season on Monday.
It is the first time an Irish player has been given the award in the conference.
Cooley was named 2nd team All-Big East on Sunday. He and Jerian Grant were tied as the leading scorers for the Irish this season.
Cooley was also a bull under the board for Notre Dame, getting just over nine rebounds per game.
