College Gameday will be there again.
The opponent is ranked 8th in the country and the game is on the road in a hostile environment.
Plus, a win cements that Notre Dame is for real and a true contender for the national championship.
But ask the Notre Dame football team about this week's game at Oklahoma and the majority of the answers will be centered around 'taking it one game at a time' and 'treating this one no differently than any others.'
Those are the cliches but this team does believe it. They've adopted Brian Kelly's culture of enjoying the process and taking each practice as its own mini adventure. They say that's what's allowed them to be successful.
At least some players were ability to quantify the excitement.
"These type of games are what you dream of," Irish linebacker Danny Spond says. "This is why you play college football. Top Ten, College Gameday, under the lights--this has every making of what dreams are made of."
'The motivation is to keep that zero on our record," says offensive lineman and captain Zack Martin. "We want to be 8-0 after this and that's the motivation to go out and win the football game."
Notre Dame and Oklahoma meet at 8:12pm Saturday night in Norman.
