Bears trying for better balance in offense

LAKE FOREST, Ill. Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall thinks he has been holding back the offense a bit after coming along from offseason hip surgery.

The Bears had better balance last week in preseason against Oakland.

But Marshall thinks all the time he has missed in training camp while rehabbing and resting from hip surgery has kept him from being the type of impact player he was last season when he set team records for catches (118) and yards receiving (1,508).

Wide receiver Earl Bennett's absence due to a concussion hasn't helped the Bears offense, but QB Jay Cutler sees the better balance than in years past.
