Ball State going to the GoDaddy Bowl

Ball State has learned what bowl they will be playing in Sunday.

They have been selected to go to the GoDaddy Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Their opponent will be Arkansas State.

The bowl will kickoff at 9 p.m. Sunday, January 5.

Ball State (10-2) reached double-digit victories for only the third time with a 55-15 victory over Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 29.

ASU (7-5) beat Kent State in last season's game for the program's first victory over a ranked team and lost to Northern Illinois two years ago. The Red Wolves have won or shared the Sun Belt Conference championship three straight years.

Ball State lost 45-13 to Tulsa in the GoDaddy Bowl on Jan. 6, 2009.

Ball State is led by quarterback Kenneth Wenning, the school's all-time leading passer

Ball State Head Coach Pete Lembo is excited for the post season bowl, "We are excited about the opportunity to represent the Mid-American Conference against a terrific Arkansas State team in this year's GoDaddy Bowl. The trip to Mobile, Ala., will be an excellent experience for our team, families and fans. We are very grateful for this opportunity."
