Bears, Colts, Lions all win

Last December, Vince Young and the Titans made a huge comeback to upset the Colts.

On Sunday, Young and company almost did it again.

But with 15 seconds left, Young couldn't pull off that special December magic on a 4th and 4. Young was nearly sacked before flipping the ball to one of his offensive lineman. Nothing resulted and the Colts took over on downs.

Peyton Manning threw for 312 yards and 1 touchdown in the win.

The Colts are 2-0.

The Bears got their first win of the season 20-10 over the Chiefs in Chicago on Sunday.

Rex Grossman connected with offensive lineman John St. Clair on a play action pass from 3 yards out to give the Bears a 7-0 lead.

Devin Hester returned a punt 73 yards for a touchdown to make it 14-0 Chicago.

In the 2nd half, it appeared Hester also had a kickoff return for a TD but the play was called back due to a holding penalty.

The Bears are now 1-1.

In Detroit, Jason Hanson went from the goat to the hero in minutes.

With 50 seconds left in the game, Hanson missed a potential game-winning field goal for the Lions.

But Vikings kicker Ryan Longwell couldn't get it done either. Longwell missed a field goal with 7 seconds left, sending the game to overtime.

In OT, Hanson took care of business, drilling a 37-yard field goal to give the Lions the 20-17 win.

Quarterback Jon Kitna threw for 245 yards and a touchdown for the Liions before getting injured. He was replaced by J.T. O'Sullivan, who threw 1 touchdown and two interceptions.

The Lions are now 2-0 on the year.

In Cleveland, Brady Quinn may be waiting to be the next Browns quarterback after all.

3-year veteran Derek Anderson threw five touchdown passes and had 328 yards in the air as the Browns defeated the Bengals in a wild 51-45 game.

Carson Palmer threw a career-high 6 touchdown passes in the loss.

Jamal Lewis had 215 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Browns.
