Jimmy Clausen talks injuries, run in with police

Jimmy Clausen joined his fellow Notre Dame freshmen football players on Friday as he addressed the media for the first time since he announced he would attend Notre Dame.

Clausen said that he did have a surgical procedure on his right elbow to remove a bone chip and is day-to-day in terms of his playing status. He also referenced the incident in June during which he was cited for transportation of alcohol. Clausen said that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and would need to learn the laws of the state of Indiana a little better.

Clausen gave no indication as to which quarterback will get the start against Georgia Tech on Sept. 1. He said that all three have worked well and whoever gets the nod will have the confidence of the entire team.
