Cubs head west back in a tie for first

Scott Rolen knocked in three runs with a pair of doubles as the St. Louis Cardinals got one win out of three at Wrigley Field on Monday. The final was 6-4. After Rolen's two-out, two-run double in the first, the Cubs were in catch-up mode.

Chicago did tie the game at two runs apiece on back-to-back solo shots by Daryle Ward and Mark DeRosa. But Rolen's tricky hop double over ARamis Ramirez at third gave St. Louis the lead for good.

Albert Pujols homered for the third straight game while Rick Ankiel also went deep for the defending World Series Champs. Derrek Lee smacked his 100th home run as a member of the CUbs.

Chicago now starts a series against the Giants on the road. Milwaukee won on Monday, so it's a tie atop the division with the Cardinals now three games out
