It was raining and it was a pre-season game.
But a record crowd of more than 3,400 fans showed up to see a rematch of last year's women's soccer national championship as Notre Dame hosted North Carolina at Alumni Field on Sunday.
It's the largest crowd ever to see a men's or women's soccer game at Notre Dame.
The game played like a national championship. The Irish went up just 6 minutes into the contest on an Amanda Cinalli goal.
But UNC came out in the 2nd half and scored two consecutive goals to take a 2-1 lead.
Notre Dame battled back and Kerri Hanks scored with 24 minutes left in the game to tie the game.
That's how it ended in a 2-2 tie.
