Looks like Brady Quinn is creating more than one quarterback battle.
First, he left the Irish with its biggest hole when he graduated.
Now, he showed Saturday night, he might have what it takes to be the Cleveland Browns quarterback to start his first NFL season.
Quinn was 13 of 20 for 155 yards and two touchdowns in his pre-season debut against the Lions.
He entered the game in the 4th quarter with Cleveland down 23-7. He immediately shined completing his first 5 passes and leading his team downfield. On a 3rd and 3 from the Lions 4, Quinn rolled out and found Efram Hill for a touchdown.
The Browns would then get the ball back and Quinn would again lead them to another touchdown with 18 seconds left.
Cleveland would then run out of time and lose 23-20.
Quinn is battling 3-year veterans Charlie Frye and Derek Anderson. Neither had a touchdown and both threw an interception earlier in the game.
