Cubs move into first

Jacque Jones always seems to rise to the occasion against the Cardinals and Friday was no excepiton.

Jones saved a run from scoring with a great catch in center and then slugged a two-run homer as the Cubs won over St. Louis, 2-1.

Rich Hill was very effective holding the defending World Series champs to only a solo shot by Albert Pujols for the only run.

Pujols had the chance in the 8th with two men on but popped out.

Chicago takes over first place in the division as the Reds won over the Brewers. The Cubs lead Milwaukee by a half-game while the Cardinals are 3 out
