Curtis Granderson made a sensational catch in the 8th inning as he robbed the Indians of two runs which would have broken a 2-2 tie. Detroit went on to score four in the 10th and won over Cleveland, 6-2. The victory gives the Tigers a one-game lead in the Central Divsion.
Gary Sheffield gave Detroit the lead in the 10th while Magglo Ordonez later smacked a three-run homer to leave no doubt.
Grady Sizemore hit a two-run homer for the Tribe.
