The Cubs scored on a bases-loaded wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth to defeat the Phils, 5-4 and take over first place in the NL Central.
Chicago had a 4-1 lead before the Phils tied the game in the 6th. But in the ninth, the Cubs filled the bases with no outs. Jason Kendall struck out and Cliff Floyd was at the plate when Brett Myers uncorked the wild pitch that scored Matt Merton
