Adams football looking at progress not wins and losses

Elmer Britton is a winner.

The legendary high school coach has found success everywhere he's gone.

As he prepares for his first day of practice on Monday in his second season at Adams, Britton is looking at the positives with a team that has lost 31 straight games dating back to 2003.

Despite losing star Shaun Major Winston, the Eagles return 18 starters this season.

They also have a growing program. The team got its first-ever weight room this year, enabling the Eagles to have their first off-season work out program.

Adams opens up the 2007 season on August 17th at S.B. St. Joe.

There will also be a new look to our coverage of high school football on NewsCenter 16. It is called Friday Night Football. As we get closer to the start of the season, we will have details on what you, the fan, can expect on Friday Night Football.
