Maintaining momentum at the South Bend Golf Metro isn't easy.
The 4-round event plays over two weekends at three different golf courses.
But Loren Crosbie figured out a way to hold onto a lead he first began holding in round two.
Crosbie shot a 4-over 75 in the final round at Warren Golf Course Sunday. He just edged out Dan Tobin, who entered the day five strokes back of the lead.
Tobin shot an even par 71 in round 4 to finish one stroke back of Crosbie. He finished 2nd.
Roger Schmeltz, the co-leader entering the final round, shot an 80. He finished tied for 3rd with Stan Gebo.
Gebo, who is now 65, sank a 65-footer on hole 17. The former 4-time Metro champion showed he still had it.
The first two rounds of the Metro were held at Elbel Golf Club. Round 3 was at Erskine Golf Course and the final round was at Warren Golf Course.
With the recent rain, the South Bend Parks Department had to put a lot of extra time and effort into getting each course ready.
