Believe it or not, opening night for high school football is just three weeks away, with practices beginning this Monday.
S.B. Adams, S.B. Riley, S.B. Clay, S.B. St. Joseph, Marian, New Prairie and John Glenn took part in picture day at the College Football Hall of Fame on Friday.
The Clay Colonials had a very solid 2006 season, finishing 7-4. They lost to Penn in the 5A Sectional Semis.
This year, Clay will play in 4A.
They return standout running back Austin Gammage, who believes Clay has what it takes to make it to the Dome this season.
The Colonials open up the season hosting Chesterton on August 17th.
There will also be a new look to our coverage of high school football on NewsCenter 16. It is called Friday Night Football. As we get closer to the start of the season, we will have details on what you, the fan, can expect on Friday Night Football.
