Crusher for Cubs in Cincy

The Cubs put on a spirited rally but being the visiting team proved to be the undoing Friday as the Reds won over Chicago, 5-4.

The Cubs scored once in the eighth and once in the ninth to forge a tie. Lou's crew could have had the lead but Jacque Jones was thrown out at home to snuff the ninth-inning fun.

In the 9th, Norris Hopper singled. He then was sacrificed to second and then scored on a hit by Edwin Encarnacion.

Chicago is now three games behind Milwaukee in the division
